The Mission
Farming
We are rooted in the belief that everyone should have access to food that is good for our bodies and planet. Farming does not have to be a destructive practice. We hope to spread the word about regenerative farming near and far.
Teaching
We want to give you the tools and knowledge to start growing your own food and connect you with local farms who are already using organic and regenerative practices. We teach the importance to caring for the land as it has cared for us.
Healing
We hope that this community is able to connect people back to the land and through that connection repair the relationship between humans and our planet. Forming safe resilient communities is one of the most important things we can do for our present and our future.
The Team
Molly
Molly has always been interested in farming and from a young age dreamed of being a farmer! Throughout high school and college she volunteered on several different farms, experiences which helped guide her towards organic and regenerative farming. She believes in the positive power of getting outside and getting your hands dirty and hopes to share that with others. As a Queer woman, Molly understands the barriers that many folks face especially in farming. She is excited that The Crowded Table Collective can offer everyone a safe space to get outside, commune with nature, and learn to grow their own food.
Molly first volunteered at Tir Na Nog Farm in May of 2024. She fell in love with everything about it and after moving to Maine in September 2024 she began brainstorming ways to create connections between the farm and the local community. It was out of this brainstorming that The Crowded Table Collective was born.
When Molly is not farming you can find her trail running, tide pooling, reading, surfing, or playing with her cats!
Sue and Holly
Sue and Holly are the farm owners and land stewards of Tir Na Nog Farm! Their farm is The Crowded Table Collective’s first farm partnership and the collective would not have been possible without them. As land stewards, Sue and Holly have a deep knowledge of their land, plants, and animals and care greatly about the health and happiness of all they are responsible for. They believe the health of the land reflects the health of all.
Their farm operation started in the early 2000’s and since then has only grown. They work hard to create delicious food for the community all while rebuilding the nutrients in the soil. They are excited about the partnership with The Crowded Table Collective and cannot wait to see how it can help grow their community. They hope to spread the love of farming and caring for the land to everyone they meet.
When Sue is not farming you can find her playing her bagpipes, reading, winning many different boardgames, and listening to good tunes!
When Holly is not farming you can find her foraging, crafting, making delicious things in the kitchen, rabble rousing and being a free range UCC pastor!
The Farm
Welcome to Tir Na Nog Farm!
In Gaelic, Tir Na Nog means land of the youth. A fitting name for a place so full of life! Surrounded by lush forest, the farm is home to pigs, chickens, and Highland cows and provides many with fresh vegetables, stunning bouquets and organic meat. Tir Na Nog is a no-till farm with an emphasis on organic and regenerative practices to help protect this land for future generations. Every part of the land is cared for with great intention and with ongoing love. We hope to share this space with others who are looking for a place to harmonize with the land and create resilient community. Come hungry for knowledge and food, we hope to feed you soon!
